During my 26 years working in education I have had the pleasure of working as a classroom teacher, Early Years Leader and Assistant Head Teacher and I have spent 18 years working with Early Years children. I have had the pleasure of setting up and running a 2 year provision, a preschool setting and working extensively across Nursery and Reception. In addition to this, I have recently qualified as a fully trained and accredited Baby Massage instructor.

I am passionate about early childhood development and firmly believe this should be at the heart of any early year’s group - this is how the Lavender Early Learning Academy was born!

All our sessions, excluding Baby Massage, are carefully planned using guidance from Birth to 5 and Development Matters publications, ensuring the activities are well matched to the development of the age group. Lavender Early Learning Academy supports and focuses on a baby and child’s development across the Prime Areas of Learning, (Communication & Language, Physical Development and Personal Development) whilst incorporating elements of Specific Areas of Learning to create a holistic approach into each interactive session.

The sessions are designed to develop a love of stories, expose children to new vocabulary, rhyme and engage actively in their learning all while having fun. At Lavender Early Learning Academy, we believe that babies and young children learn best through play and interaction, and this is at the heart of all of our sessions. Each session runs for 1 hour and are planned to operate over a 6-week block.
